Rogue Angel e Youngling Drider

Oi pessoal, estou bem atrasado com minhas coisas.
Mas a vida real tem me dado muito trabalho. Coisa boa né? Meu pai sempre diz, antes ter trabalho do que não ter. Maior verdade. Ou seja não estou me queixando, apenas comentando.

Hello everyone. I´m real late with my stuff this week.
My real life is give me a lot of work lately. Good thing is it? My dad always told me: have work is ever better than don´t. Biggest True. So, i´m not complain, just comented.

Bom no meio dessa correria acabei que pulei a apresentação da criatura do meu set da semana passada. Não faz mal, assim apresento duas criaturas esta semana.

Well, with so much work to realize here at my office, i simply let pass the last week creature presentation. Well, this is not bad at all, cause this week i have 2 to show.

Criei duas novas peças; um Anjo Ladino (Rogue Angel) e uma Criança Drider (Youngling Drider).
Infelizmente por conta do trabalho em demasia, pulei algumas partes costumeiras nas fotografias. Como as peças que formam a miniatura, os cortes, montagens etc. Abaixo vocês verão as imagens e as peças já concluidas. Salvo algumas excessões.

I´ve criated two new peaces: Rogue Angel and Youngling Drider. Unfortunaly cause of my busy week, i have jumped some usual parts at my pictures. Like that showing all minis used to do the jog, or the cuts, bulding, etc. Bellow you will only see the completed creatures.

Bom para fazer estas duas criaturas tirei base em duas criaturas principais. Para criar o anjo usei a miniatura Domiel Slayer de Underdark e para dar base ao Drider a Spider of Lolth também de Underdark.

Well, to do both creaturs i have get 2 main ones. To do the Angel i have choosen the Underdark´s Domiel Slayer, and to do the Drider, i had selected Spider of Lolth also Underdark´s.

Ambas as peças foram usadas como a base inicial para os produtos finais. Evidentemente além delas foram usadas outras miniaturas. Ai entra o problema da minha semana ter sido corrida. Acabei pulando esta parte no momento em que fiz as fotografias. Espero que me perdoem.

Both peaces was taken to build the base of the main creatures. Of corse i have also used another minis. There get the trouble of my busy week. I totally forget to make the secondary creatures photos. Hope you forgive me.

Iniciando com o Youngling Drider.

Let´s start with Youngling Drider.

Quando pensei em criar uma criança Drider a primeira coisa que me veio a cabeça foi lembrar que Driders na verdade são criações/transformações de drows em uma outra criatura. Nas edições anteriores a 4e de D&D, ser transformado em um Drider era uma punição, atualmente é uma "benção". De todo modo os Driders sempre foram assexuados e nunca trataram estas criaturas como capazes de se reproduzir.

When i thougn about doing a drider child, the first thing i remeber was that there is no driders child at RPG. In true Driders are creations/transformation of drows in a entire new being by magical a divine rituals. At editions prior the 4e, Driders was somekind of punishment to the majority of the drow people who had displased the Dark Maid in someway. Actualy this as i have see, had chage a litle. It seems now this is some kind of "blessing" to worthy drows. Eitherway, the Driders never was created by natural way.

Mas espera ai! Os driders conservam ainda que de forma débil a inteligência dos drows. Alguns são inclusive bem capazes, pois são feiticeiros, arcanos, sacerdotes. Então porque cargas dágua se acredita que estas criaturas após a transformação hedionda a que foram submetidos não cederiam a luxuria?

Why not? Are the driders not in essence drows? With all its shared memories? Some are sorcerers, arcanes and priestess. Why in the hell they will not indulge in lust? Of corse they will. So, and if something goes very wrong, and then this abominations start to breed? 

Tá certo imaginar estas coisas feias fazendo sexo não é nada agradável. Mas com certeza estas criaturas devem fazer, e quem não disse que no meio destas tentativas imutáveis não poderia ter acontecido o inimaginável?

Ok. I´m must be sick in think about something like that. But for sure this creatures were a prewius lust people, and will continue to do this, and then the unthinkable can happen, or not?

Driders se reproduzindo. Criando de fato uma nova raça.

Driders breed. A real new race from the underdark.

Apresento a vocês: uma criança Drider (Youngling Drider).

And with my twisted mind i show you now: a Child Drilder, a Younling Drider.

Bom para criar nosso amigo, eu precisava obviamente de uma aranha. Existiam duas canditas a spider of lolth de Underdark e a deathjumpspider de Dungeons of Dread. Mas a deathjump não possuia um corpo apropriado no meu ver. Logo me decidi pela Spider of Lolth. Com o corpo da aranha escolhido eu precisava agora pensar em quem executaria o corpo de uma criança drow. Desnecessário dizer que a escolha obvia estavam entre os halflings. E vou dizer uma coisa!

To do our new friend, i need a good spider mini. I´ve put my eyes on two: Spider of Lolth from Underdark Collection Set and Deathjump Spider from Dungeos of Dread. The deathjump has no good body after some close looks. So i´ve decided for Spider of Lolth. With the chosen spider to be the spider main body now i was looking for a miniature who will be the upper body of  a drow child. The halflings are simple the best for this. And i must say!

Praticamente todos os halflings dão excelentes bases para se criar uma criança drider. Eu acabei escolhendo o Feybound Halfling de Against the Giants. Na minha opinião possuia o corpo mais perfeito dentre os candidatos. Não que isso não impeça você de usar outros halflings. Outro que seria muito bom é o halfling enchanter.

Any halfling can do a perfect drow or drider child. I choose the Feybound Halflin from Against the Giants. On my opinion the best for the new roleplay. Of corse you can use others. Halfling Enchanter from Desert of Desolation is another awesome. 

A execução da miniatura foi mais ou menos fácil. Apenas separei as pernas do halfling deixando todo o resto do tronco. Após cortei em / a cabeça da aranha. Neste momento você deve fazer um corte em / da mesma forma partindo do ventre do halfling até o inicio do quadril. Com isso o corpo da criatura se casa primordialmente com o vão oferecido pelo corpo da aranha.

The work was not so easy, i had a litle trouble at the body junctions. I started splited the halfling legs from the upper body. After i star some "/" cut at the spider head. At this moment you must start to make "/" cut at halfling and spider. Until you can put both together. After some caress work you can make both whole.

Como a aranha é prostrada e nosso amigo ficaria meio esquisito em sua posição, cortei a aranha da base e a posicionei de pé como se fosse dar um salto. Desta forma a escultura ficou bem mais agradável.

Since the spider was prostrate, the "drow" body was not in a cool position. To correct this, i sepate the spider from its base, and place it "on foot" or "of Ass to top". With this new pose, the mini became much more pretty.

Após, dei as pinceladas necessárias para transformar nosso ex-halfling em um drider.
To finish, i start to paint our ex-halfling as a drider must be.

Infelizmente a pose da fotografia não faz juz ao produto final, que lhes asseguro é muito bacana.

Unfortunaly the photos are not so cool like the real mini is. I assure you that she´s great.
Now follow some solo photos and some curiositys:

1) Apenas duas peças são necessárias para se criar a Criança Drider: uma Spider of Lolth e um halfling (Neste exemplo fora usado o Feybound Halfling).

1) To build Youngling Drider you must have 2 peaces: 1 Spider of Lolth and 1 Halfling creture (Can be any, at this topic i had used Feybound Halfling).

2) A nova criatura comparando com a Spider of Lolth base, possui 35mm de envergadura contra 40mm da original. Essa diferença ocorre porque na miniatura original a aranha possui suas pernas espalhadas para fora da base. Na nova escultura, 4 das 8 pernas são usadas para ajudar na sustentação da pose da mini. A altura da nova criatura ficou em 32mm contra 20mm da original e a profundiade ficou igual nas duas 30mm.

2) This new creature if compared with old Spider of Lolth, had this measures: 35mm width, 32mm height, e 30 thickness. An important difference is that at the original creature the spider legs are open over the base, and at this new one, 4 from its 8 legs help to give suport to the creature.

3) Para dar um bom suporte a aranha, foi necessário literalmente colocar um ferro no bum-bum da aranha. É, eu sei. Essa foi dose. Mas é o que aconteceu. Você faz a ligação dele com a base da miniatura e o bum-bum da criatura, dando firmeza a escultura.

3) To prevent break on this miniature, was needed literally "put a iron on the spider´s ass". Yep, i know, this was harsh. But it happen. Well, you put an iron bar at the base at at the lesser drider body, and with this you make the creature solid.

Nossa próxima criação agora, teve como inspiração uma carta de Magic. Sempre gostei muito da ilustração da Stoic Angel. E sempre pensei que daria um anjo bem legal. Na real sempre pensei em um anjo ladino. Tipo um espião, e não sei porque, sempre achei que estes anjos seriam parecidos com a Stoic.

To do our next creature, i´ve get inspiration at Magic card ilustration. I always like the Stoic Angel picture. And ever though it will be a cool mini. And i always think she´s somekind of rogue. Maybe that hood give me this impression. Like a spy or something. In real if i need to imagine a spy or rogue angel i ever think on Stoic Angel like.

Ok. De posse de uma boa imagem de referencia resolvi dar uma procurada em quem poderia desempenhar bem este papel. Encontrei Slayer of Domiel de Underdark. Olhei para a miniatura e disse: "Mas você é ela!"

Well. With a good reference picture i started to look for someone who can play this on my minis. And i have found Slayer of Domiel. When i found it i sayed: "Wow but she´s you!"

Primeira coisa que fiz, foi pintar a nossa moça. Ficou perfeita!
So i start to repaint it. Perfect!

Depois vieram as asas. E junto com as asas o problema. Nenhuma asa ficava realmente boa. Pior! Simplesmente não casavam com a capa da nossa ladina. Primeira coisa que pensei foi em tirar a capa. Mas literalmente não ia ficar bom. Continuei procurando e encontrei um par de asas inusitado. A criatura Phoera possuia um par de asas que poderia dar certo. Mas para isso era necessário eu reformular minha anja. Eu já havia pintado ela toda de cinza com tons dourados. Mas valeu a pena. Refiz a capa para combinar com as asas em chamas e ficou show.

Then come the wings. And the problem. Have not find any wings that came closer to became good as the picture. The main problem was with the cap and the position of the new wings. I contemplated to remove the cap. But this will do no good. So i start looking again for someother kind of wings. Then i have found Phoera. Real nice wings. Can´t be grey anymore, but this time this wings could work. So repaint the angel again. This time i make the cape became more like the flame wings and the work became great.

Eu queria colocar uma ampulheta, mas na falta de uma ajeitei uma tocha. Na minha opinião a miniatura ficou linda. Alias é de longe a minha preferida do set até agora.

I was thinking in give a hourglass to my rogue angel, but since i find none i give her a torch. Well, i simply liked too much this miniature. She´s my favorite from set until now.

Now some solo photos and curiositys about the work:

1) As únicas diferenças de tamanho com a miniatura original aconteceram pelo acréscimo das asas do anjo. Ela ficou com 58mm de altura, 45mm de largura e 25mm de profundidade. Bem maior que a original.

1) This new creature, had this measures: 45mm width, 58mm height, e 25 thickness. She´s became much more taller than the original.
2) Usei 3 miniaturas para criar nossa anja. 1 Slayer of Domiel, 1 Phoera e 1 Delver Sergent. Este último emprestou sua tocha para a mão direita da anja, totalmente desnecessário se você quiser ignorar.

2) To build this angel you´ll need 3 peaces: 1 Slayer of Domiel, 1 Phoera and 1 Delver Sergent. This last one only was taken to give the torch to the angel, you can ignore it if you do not wish to cut a third miniature.

3) Nossa amiga anja já estava pronta a mais de uma semana, infelizmente o acumulo de trabalho no meu escritório me impediu de postá-la antes.

3) Our angel was ready a week ago, unfortunaly my busy week at my ofice had stopped me to post it before.
