10 anos de A Sociedade do Anel

Recentemente minha filha Júlia de 5 anos me pediu para assistir a um dos filmes da trilogia O Senhor dos Anéis.

Recently my 5 years old daughter, Julia asked me to watch a film of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Foi com muita relutância que deixei que ela assistisse. Afinal de contas seria o primeiro filme "adulto" que ela veria. O filme não tem nada comprometedor a não ser a violência tradicional dos filmes de capa e espada. De uma certa forma ela está habituada através dos contos de princesas que ela sempre ouve.

It was with great reluctance that I attend her. After all, would be the first "adult movie" that she would watch. The film has nothing incriminating, unless the tipical swashbuckling action. In a way she know it by the tales of princesses, she always listens.

Eu acreditei que ela assistiria uns 15 minutos e desistiria então coloquei o filme. Foi em um sábado a tarde, e ela assitiu todo ele, ao longo de suas exaustivas 3 horas. De forma muito interessante me perguntou sobre os personagens, sobre o que estava acontecendo, sobre o que se passava, quem eram e o que faziam.

I believed that she would watch about 15 minutes and give up, so I put the movie. It was a Saturday afternoon, and she watch all of it, throughout their extensive three hours. Very interesting about the characters, asked me about what was happening, about what was going on, who they were and what they did.

Assistimos todo o filme. E ela adorou. E eu também, adorei ter assistido com ela. Mais engraçado foi quando ela me perguntou, se fazia tempo que eu assistia ao filme, e eu de repente percebi que faziam 10 anos que o filme A Sociedade do Anel surgira pela primeira vez. Fiquei maravilhado.

We watched the whole movie. And she loved it. And I also loved to have attended to her. Funniest thing was when she asked me how long i had watched the movie, and I suddenly realized that the film The Fellowship of the Ring first appeared was at 10 years ago. I was amazed.
Acabei por procurar para ver se houve alguma espécie de promoção ou comemoração e não vi nada. Ao que parece os 10 anos do primeiro filme da Trilogia passou em branco. Mas não na minha memória. Foi no décimo aniversário de A Sociedade do Anel, que eu e minha filha mais velha, a Júlia assistimos juntos um longa metragem.

I ended up looking to see if there was some sort of promotion or celebration and saw nothing. It turns out that 10 years from the first film of the trilogy went blank. But not in my memory. It was at thr tenth anniversary of The Fellowship of the Ring, I and my eldest daughter, Julia saw a film together.
